Once upon time there was a girl named Lucy. She was 11 years old, she had black long hair and a beautiful hairclip. She had little sad blue eyes. She was shy and kind and she loved to write fantastic stories.

She lived with her parents (Thomas and Maryline) and her little sister Katy who was also her best friend.One day Katy gave her a beautiful bracelet. Lucy was very happy and it became her lucky bracelet.

One day, while Lucy was tidying her books shelves, she noticed that among all her books on different subjects she missed one in particular: an English Book that her teacher had asked her for the next day. She looked for it everywhere in the house... but nothing! So the next day, Lucy went to school without the book.

When she arrived at school she told her friends what happened, but instead of being kind they laughed out loud for all the story and made fun of her. In particular the two leaders of her class: Emily and Stephanie. They were enjoying teasing her.

She felt hurt by their behavior and the following days Lucy did not go to school. She didn’t want to suffer the same situation. She stayed at home two weeks. One day while Lucy was writing her diary, she heard voices coming from the garden. She looked out from the balcony and she saw her schoolmates, Emily and Stephanie as well. They were laughing at her.

Lucy was very sad because she did not understand why she couldn’t be like them. Lucy decided to change something of her aspect: she had her hair cut and painted it in blue; she wore too much make-up to hide her spot and freckles. She wanted to look like Stephanie and Emily. Next day Lucy went back to school, but nobody could recognize her. In fact Emily and Stephanie asked her if she was a new student. When she said who she was, all the situation got worse. The two mean girls did everything they could do to leave her out and place her in an unfavourable light.

When it was summer, Lucy decided to spend some days in the house on a tree that her father built for his two daughters in the wood. Her parents were worried but they didn’t ask anything about her decision. She only said she wanted to stay alone without meeting or seeing anyone.

But one day…

Emily and Stephanie found her and tried to talk to her saying they could be friends. Lucy was not convinced of their honesty and when they went out, she followed them and listened to their speeches. She heard they wanted to get Lucy scared so she had to leave the house and they could take possession of it. Lucy was speechless, but now she had a plan.

She called her parents, all the schoolmates and the teachers and told them everything. She asked them to hide close to her house that night. When the two bad girls arrived and started to scream in a dangerous animal voice, Lucy escaped and lost her bracelet. They started to laugh loudly and stole the bracelet saying that they would hide it at school as a bad joke. In this way the teacher would send her off the school. At that moment all the people hidden there came out.

The two girls had no way out. They had to confess everything. They were sent off the school and Lucy could live without any problems.

Katy, Lucy´s sister, decided to tell their mom, Maryline, what happend because Katy knew about all sister´s problems: Lucy was bullied by Emily and Stephanie. They hate Lucy. Lucy was unhappy. Maryline was sad and she told it to her husband Thomas. Thomas was angry too. He was a body guard for Lucy. Thomas and Lucy´s teacher spoke with Emily and Stephanie. They didn´t want to change their behaviour to Lucy because they didn´t like her at all.

One day Lucy saw something bad happening to them but she didn´t tell anyone about it to avoid their embarassment. They realized that she behaved like a friend not an emeny although she could tell about it others. So they apologized to Lucy. And they never did anything bad to her. Lucy was happy and her parents too.

After school Lucy went home and on the way she saw a strange man who stared at her awfully. He came close to her, and Lucy run away scared.

But the man was behind her and took something from his pocket… Lucy stared at her lucky bracelet hoping it could be magic…She was surprised when she saw what the man took from his pocket: it was her English Book. The man gave it to her and she put it in her schoolbag. The next morning, when she went to school again, during the English lesson, everybody started laughing at her again.

The teacher asked the reason and when Lucy told her everything, all the schoolmates could but blush with shame. Now she was proud of herself and of all her pimples.
